Destin cable reform discussed and city politics to be revised
Destin aims to align the proposed cable franchise with 1984 federal rules after City Attorney Jerry Miller completes revisions. A Utilities Committee review will follow. The reactivated Committee for Good Government invites public help with candidate outreach as six City Council hopefuls share differing platforms. Fraggle Rock guests from HBO appear at Niceville’s Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival October 18 from 10 am to 4 pm, with a joint HBO and Warner Cable sponsorship.
