Drivers are urged to drive carefully along U S 98 near the Destin Bridge this weekend for the popular Destin Seafood Festival. Eastbound travelers should watch for roaming seafood lovers crossing the bridge into town. The festival is north of the Kelly Docks with shuttle buses from Shores Shopping Plaza to the site.
Destin City Council to consider a lease with the Kelly Trust for the Rodeo Dock and uplands near the Destin Bridge. Annual rent set at $1 with liability insurance of $3,343. If approved, the harbormaster’s boat will dock there and the public may continue using the dock.

Tennis facility led with 19 votes followed by indoor recreation 18 and parks 16. Other picks included a public golf course 13 a swimming pool 12 and a fishing pier 10. The softball field complex ranked seventh amid Playa.
