Former Cancer Victim Honored Flanagan Aids Others On Road To Recovery
Evelyn Maggie Flanagan of Destin, a six year cancer survivor, was honored in Tampa by the American Cancer Society as part of Florida Division's First Cured Cancer Congress on October 28. She has served as a leader in the South Okaloosa Cancer Society and on the Florida ACS board, aiding patients through transport to cobalt treatments, fundraising, Reach for Recovery work, and patient support, while also contributing locally as a Destin Community Center director and blood drive volunteer.
