Sandestin Resort Fines May Be Offset by Beach Project

NOW conference shifts to Panhandle for 10th annual event
Florida NOW will stage its 10th annual conference January 13 to 15 at Miracle Mile Resort in Panama City Beach. The event marks the first NOW conference west of Tallahassee, featuring keynote speaker Pat Schroeder and other potential candidates for national offices. Northwest Florida NOW chapters say growth stems from frustration after the 1982 ERA defeat and a push to build feminist strength in a conservative, military-influenced region.
