Walton County fire safety courses eyed for inspectors
Lawyer Laws notes inspectors know codes but school teaches much else. Dewar will run a state licensing course in Walton County in January if at least 12 students enroll. Wilson agrees but has not yet recruited across counties. The plan includes training county building inspectors to become licensed fire inspectors. A South Walton Library branch is being formed at Cano Square, space donated by Cano Square developers. Volunteers are sought for shelves and shelving. Call Walton County Library in DeFuniak Springs or David Kramer at 267 2424. Kramer helped start the project and says it benefits everyone in the community and county.
