The Destin Harbor Board seeks funding to produce an educational pamphlet detailing harbor rules. It would include a map of water skiing areas, no wake zones, marinas, fuel pumps, and future pumpout sites. The pamphlet will list Florida Marine Patrol rules and be mailed with cer bills.
The Destin Community Center hosts a giant flea market today from 8 a.m. featuring arts and crafts live birds ferrets plants Christmas decorations and white elephants. Destin United Methodist Church runs a Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a bake sale handmade gifts and Cabbage Patch doll clothes at 200 Beach Avenue.

Local officials balk at transportation study results showing an extra bay bridge would not greatly cut traffic on U.S. 98 and U.S. 331 or the Destin Bridge. Kaltenbach presented two hypothetical routes with estimated costs of 52 and 56 million dollars and traffic around 13 000 vehicles daily, arguing the project has a low cost benefit ratio.
