Last Destin Rodeo Notes End of an Era at The Log

The 38th Destin Rodeo produced notable catches with Tome Loucks of Milton landing a 39 pound 12 ounce King Mackerel at Okaloosa Island Pier on light tackle. Aubrey Freeman of Fort Walton Beach weighed 39 8 leading the Grand Prize King Mackerel division on Eye Tooth. Billy Perkins of Grammer Indiana won a 54 pound 12 ounce Grouper aboard Miss Tina. Renee Jennings of Destin led the Ladies Special Billfish with a 56 pound 8 ounce White Marlin aboard Golden Gaff. Bruce Cheves will take over next season. the writer resigns as rodeo secretary but remains connected.
