The LOG caravan moves to 1225 Airport Road starting Friday and continuing through the weekend with potential telephone outages Friday and Saturday. Normal service resumes Monday and an open house will be announced once finishing touches are completed to showcase the new equipment.

The Emerald Coast sees beachfront motels and cottages replaced by highrise condos as Destin-South Walton shifts to attracting upper middle class visitors. Rates for one and two bedroom units on the beach start around 100 and 125 dollars respectively, with many asking 70 dollars a night for older options. Middle income families face higher stays and fewer moderately priced units, prompting concern over affordability as market patterns shift.
