Destin Chamber Eyes Role Shifts As City Becomes Governing
Destin Chamber of Commerce leaders say the organization will shift roles in coming months as the new Destin City Council takes on waterways and transportation issues. The board plans to focus more on member needs and business activity while shedding certain task force committees. Emerald Coast Awareness Month was announced for March, with events including Joyce Moore’s visit February 27 and a push for bed tax support to boost revenues. The chamber also pledged $300 for a Snowbird billboard and discussed honoring Eglin AFB’s Silver Anniversary with a parade float.
