Sandestin Suit Seeks Fees From Un joined Unit Owners
More than 100 Sandestin condo owners are sued in Walton County Circuit Court for not joining the Sandestin Owners Association SOA. The suit seeks to compel joiners to pay their share for security, garbage, road maintenance and other common services and to limit access to common properties until they become members. A Jan 9 hearing in DeFuniak Springs will consolidate the case rather than hear arguments.

Frostbitten Flipper Grounds Oscar Pelican For A While
Oscar the pelican in Glenda Rainer's Dolphin Point clubhouse suffers frostbite on a foot and pouch and cannot fly with the flock. Local expert Peter Batten and volunteers keep her warm with a sun lamp while monitors say cold weather has left other pelicans dead or frostbitten. Residents have shown support, with visitors from Fort Walton Beach visiting Oscar.
