Charter Fleet Seeks Dockage On Pass
Destin charter boat group asks Okaloosa County commissioners to study dockage on the west side of East Pass. The Destin Charter Boat Association proposes locating the fleet on land south of the Destin Bridge and adjacent to the West Pass area to relieve harbor pressure and protect the industry. Capt. Judge Grants Rehearing On Trust Distribution
Okaloosa County Circuit Court Judge Erwin Fleet will rehear the Coleman Kelly Trust distribution after an error in the legal description left Parcel 5, Airport Road, minus 6.99 acres. The judge previously credited a 2,373 acre east of Destin tract to cover shortfalls. a new method may be used to make up the shortage. Doug Horton testified the miscount affected the Jeanne Kelly Estate allocation, where Parcel 5 was distributed among ten holdings.
