Destin deckhand pleads not guilty in Fort Walton Beach death
Joey Brennan, 29, charged with third degree murder and manslaughter in the death of 18 year old Susan Redmond, enters not guilty plea filed by attorney David Pascoe. Indicted last week by Walton County Grand Jury. Trial set for March 19, 1984 in Walton County Circuit Court before Judge Clyde B. Wells. Arrested Oct. 17 by Walton County Sheriff's Department for the Oct. 6 death near Campbell Lake in South Walton County.

Davage Buddy Runnels of Destin was chosen chairman of the Northwest Florida Water Management District at the December 1 Tallahassee meeting. Gov. County Starts Work Airport Road Drainage Relief
Okaloosa County began a $60,000 drainage project on Airport Road to curb flooding around Quail Lake and the Quiet Wood Subdivision. County Engineer Dave Heinrich said 3,000 feet of 24 inch pipe will be laid 6 to 10 feet underground to carry rainwater to a marsh near the industrial park, with completion in about two months.
