Double Tax Burden For Destin On County Ballot
Okaloosa County considers two special taxing districts for Destin to end double taxation on unincorporated area residents. A roads MSTU would cover non arterial routes and a separate parks district would apply to neighborhood spaces used by locals. County commissioners aim to settle the dispute after a Kelvin & Associates study shows 84 percent of roads mainly serve unincorporated areas. Continued on Page 9A.
