Right-of-Way Locate on Holiday Isle Explored by Committee
The Blue Ribbon Committee met to identify the public park and a 100-foot right of way on Holiday Isle. Participants believe the land’s exact location is unclear due to shifting shoreline and disputed ownership among city, county, state, private owners, and the Army Corps of Engineers. A 1961 Okaloosa County deed and pre-1961 title research are discussed as paths to a final determination.
