Birthday Surprise For T D W Manchester
On Friday October 18 the birthday of T D W Manchester was celebrated with a surprise dinner arranged by his wife. Friends and neighbors were invited while his sister Mrs Aristeen Moe stayed to extend her visit. A photo session on the 17th was used to plan the dessert. He sensed something unusual as the hour approached and was kept in his office before dinner.

Pleasant surprise at a well attended birthday gathering
On entering the dining room the table held abundant good things and the room filled with ladies and gentlemen. All present embraced the spirit of the occasion and departed wishing him many returns of the day.
Infant Eckman and Infant Fin cher Pass On in Logansport
Two infant deaths are recorded with services led by Rev. A D Alexander. Harry Eckman born December 22 1898 died October 17 1901 at age 2 years 9 months 25 days. A special train from Logansport to Denver carried relatives to the funeral. The Fin cher infant born October 8 1901 died October 20 1901 aged 15 days. Their mother had died two weeks earlier and the infant was cared for by Mr and Mrs Harry Carpenter who later held funeral services at the Carpenter home with interment at Santa Fe cemetery.
