Fire Fatalities After Dover Kitchen Blaze
A Kent General Hospital release notes a fire at a Dover home started in the kitchen and spread to the bedroom where Mr and Mrs Stafford were asleep. They escaped via a window. Marydel firemen arrived within five minutes after a 2 a.m. call but could not save the residence. Defective wiring or an overheated refrigerator motor blamed for the blaze, the third serious fire in two weeks. Firemen and the Ladies Auxiliary praised for swift response.
