Plan to assure buyers that home furnishings colors will harmonize through a B.H.F. label. Co operating manufacturers across car pets, draperies, upholstery fabrics, wallpaper, paints, lighting equipment and other furnishings promote matched color groups. Nine base colors with eight graduations each offer variety. groups include Alamo Grand Canyon Adirondack Prairie Shenandoah Cape Cod Great Lakes Santa Fe Great Smoky. Stores will display standard colors with B.H.F. labels so homemakers can choose and trust color harmony.

National Geographic Society and Smithsonian Institution archaeologists uncover five colossal basalt heads at a prehistoric Indian ceremonial center in southern Mexico. Two statues stand near 10 feet tall and weigh over 20 tons. Stone sources suggest quarrying 75 miles north. Pottery indicates the community flourished between 500 and 800 A D.
