Maryland IFYE program promotes international understanding
The County Agent highlights the International Farm Youth Exchange program run by Extension Service and USDA. Maryland youths, including Stewart Young and Dorothy V. Keller, have spent time in France, Austria, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany and Mexico. Keller's letters describe sea voyage aboard the Arosa Kulm, farm work on French estates, and daily life with French families, illustrating cross cultural exchange and hands on learning.
