Halloween Parade Planned by Greensboro Lions Club
More than 25 prizes will be awarded at the Greensboro Halloween parade on Friday October 29 sponsored by the Lions Club with help from local businesses. Carlton H. Porter announced after a meeting at G R Kelly’s store. Main Street will be roped off for dancing and vehicle traffic diverted to side streets. Mayor Russell H. Wright will coordinate police and more than 100 volunteers to keep the march open for entrants. Prizes will be given by age group in categories including Fancy Dress Comics Originals bicycles floats and baby coaches. Out of town visitors are eligible for prizes. The parade committee includes J E Boulais Oren T. Lewis and John Wickler.
