Funeral services for Private James Oliver Carroll aged twenty five who died in a Japanese prison camp on February 6 1943 were held at his mother’s home in Denton. Burial followed in Denton cemetery with Sgt Paul Raysinger escorting the urn. Carroll son of Mrs John Carroll and the late Mr Carroll, survived by three brothers Lester John Eugene all of Denton and five sisters Kemp Walls Tolson Bishop Glanding Covington of Queenstown Greensboro Dover Denton.
