Dorchester County farm veterans and Bethlehem leaders visited the Albert Blake farm to study a diversified 200 acre operation. The Blakes run four winter grazing fields with rye, clover, hairy vetch, and grains, rotate cattle on 22 milk cows, and store hay and silage for winter feed.
Mrs. Blake runs a year round operation with 3000 broilers and around 50 turkeys as a model for farm veterans. The training program aids veterans in establishing farming careers.
