George D. Olds, chairman of the Building Committee, said after the November 17 board meeting that an early start on the Memorial Hospital wing is likely but hindered by several obstacles. Delays include manpower shortages at architect and engineer offices and wage specification requirements under the Hill Burton Act and Labor Department schedules. If final specifications gain prompt approval, construction should be put to tender by January with bids in February and groundbreaking soon after.

Four Hurt In Auto Collision Near Scott's Store
Mr and Mrs Lowman Ott of Denton and their son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Raymond Jones of Salisbury were injured when their car collided with a truck on Route 404 near Scott's Store Saturday morning. They were taken to Memorial Hospital Easton by Dr E Paul Knotts. Ott had minor injuries and was discharged. Mrs Ott had a serious head injury and a fractured hip. Mr Jones suffered fractured ribs and Mrs Jones an abdominal injury.

Relief Goods For Korea Sent By Brethren
After visiting several relief depots around Wilmington Delaware the New Windsor relief truck operated by Church World Service and Church of the Brethren picked up five sacks of clothing each 40 pounds and five five gallon cans of old lard from the Denton Brethren depot on November 24. The truck then proceeded to Ridgely and Easton before returning to New Windsor to continue aid runs. The dispatch notes growing inbound aid and urges continued generosity to meet Korea and other needs.
