Fallacies and Truths in Economic Policy Explored
Reader's Digest article prepared by the American Economic Foundation challenges common economic fallacies. It states government is not the source of goods and that benefits come from taxes, wage hikes without productivity gains raise prices, and that about 90 percent of product goes to workers while 10 percent to owners. It argues wealth comes from production and rising productivity via science and capital, urging unions to explain this principle to members.
