Fox Sets Out Bit Of His Election Stand
Hamilton P. Fox a Democratic candidate for Congress on Maryland’s Eastern Shore outlines his priorities. He cites his opponent's votes against school construction aid, Natural Gas Bill lobbying ties, and the 4 cent first class postage hike. Fox pledges to reject out of state contributions and to raise the personal income tax exemption from 600 to 700. He campaigns on Bay erosion relief, federal aid with state and private shores projects, and improved Veterans Affairs and mail service. The USDA report notes concrete cracks allow termite entry, questions the effectiveness of tarred shields, but non corrosive metal shields correctly installed do protect. It also suggests pressure treated wood for load bearing members as added protection, while surface treatments are relatively ineffective.
