Mother's Day Observed at Marydel Methodist Church
The Marydel News Letter reports a Marydel Methodist Church observance of Mother's Day with services in Sunday School and the church. Guest speakers included Eleanore Gustavson Vivian Kresge and Richard Frantz from King's College. Prizes were given for the mother with most children and oldest mother. A letter from Miss Jarvis founder of Mothers Day was read. The day featured music, readings, and a lily boutonniere for attendees, with 67 in Sunday School and 75 in church. Several local residents and visitors are noted, including Mrs. W. A. Thrasher and families visiting Marydel. Additional community notes cover meetings, baptisms, and social visits.
