The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Baltimore City authorized expenditures totaling 962000 this week for Maryland telephone facility construction and improvements. Plans include replacing central office equipment, relocating outside plant facilities at Church Hill, erecting a new one story building, and laying over two miles of aerial cable with 131 miles of wire. Additional expansions in Cecilton Thurmont and Glen Burnie, plus underground and aerial cable work in downtown Baltimore, Hyattsville and Edmondson Center, were approved to support dial operation and rural extensions.
