Decoration Day Observed At Denton Cemetery With Large Attendance

Twenty five years after the occasion a Denton Decoration Day service drew one of the largest crowds in the event’s history. Juniors placed memorials on seventeen graves, and twenty nine soldiers were honored with unfurled U S flags and floral decorations. The program featured choirs, prayers by local pastors including Rev J A Dudley and Rev Levi Ziegler, and a benediction by Rev M E Wheatley of Ridgely.
