Two Color Radar, a WWII electronic breakthrough, gains a two color viewing screen to improve airport radar systems. The system scans the horizon with a rotating antenna and echoes a target as a blob or pip on the radar display, signaling aircraft or missiles.
Miss Martha Ulrich of the Wyoming agricultural extension service explains that using straight smooth sharp needles avoids common sewing problems. Crooked needles skip stitches fray thread and rough eyes cause fabric puckering and snagging. Blunt points or too coarse or too fine eyes create visible holes or worn threads.
