County Farm Bureau Picnic and County Shows in Caroline
County Farm Bureau members and families will hold the annual picnic Friday July 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Officials from the State office invited. The event includes a 4-H dairy calf show, with 30 calves entered and Judge Dr. Gordon Cairns. Trophies include the 4-H fitting and showing trophy donated by Richard Blackburn and the 4-H bull trophy, with Archie Carroll having won it in recent years. Also noted are visits by high officials to Frederick Soil Conservation Day on August 18 and a treatise on spraying corn for Japanese beetles emphasizing timing and field readiness.
