Teen-age diets called poorest-fed in America
Secretary Benson and Dr Ercel Eppright cite half of teen girls in a study on inadequate diets and note males are often undernourished too. Teens need 30 to 50 percent more nutrients than parents, and meat intake could rise by 992 million pounds annually, about 62 pounds per teen. Educators push to improve youth eating habits for the nation’s future welfare.
