Fire destroys home as Denton carves tax cut hope
A Denton area home owned by Harry S Cooper on the stone road from Denton to Williston burned Monday evening while the family attended a Concord entertainment. Firefighters lacked water and fought a rapid blaze. Cooper's loss is about 85000 with partial insurance. Also noted: the State tax rate may see a three cent cut next year.
