Don’t Minimize Dizziness Its Serious Implications
Dr Paul A Campbell of Northwestern University medical school spoke at the Veterans Administration hospital in Downey California about dizziness. He described dizziness as a common complaint with varying sensations from whirling to mental confusion. Rotational dizziness often stems from ear balance canals or brain connections while nonrotational forms arise from higher brain centers. Causes include excess fluid or salt intake allergy infections and tumors of the balance nerve. Other factors linked to nonrotational dizziness are blood pressure changes endocrine shifts such as menopause eye disorders remote infections and brain concussion. He warned that rotational dizziness may indicate a brain tumor and requires careful medical study.
