County Agent announces the 8th Annual Eastern Shore Bull Show and Holstein Field Day at Garland Lake this Saturday August 14 with about sixty entered. Judging starts 12 noon DST, entries on grounds by 11 am DST. Joe Pou University of Maryland extension dairyman to judge. large attendance expected.
Local residents enjoyed a picnic at the home of Mr and Mrs Howard Mariis. Numerous families visited relatives and spent Sundays at nearby beaches and cities including Virginia Beach Wilmington and New York. Vogue cover girl Miss Jean Patchett plans August residence with the Patchetts.
Henderson and Montague families plus many relatives gathered at Tolchester Beach for a La tex picnic last Saturday. Visitors from Wilmington and locals shared weekend visits and midweek letters while Mrs. King and Mrs. Melvin traveled between homes.
The church retires John E. French after long service with Walter B. Palmer as Sunday School superintendent. Holy Communion is at 10 45 a m. Evening services are recalled for August with Sunday worship on August 22 and 29.
