Georgetown Double-Feature Wins At George Town Speedway
Paul Walker of Milton Del drives his No. 40 Ford from 14th and 15th to win both rainout and regular 25-lap NASCAR main events at Georgetown Speedway. Reed climbs from 15th to challenge 144 for second. Walker ties Johnny Martin for wins lead as multiple drivers contend in a rain-soaked program that included heats, a midget division, and a 50-lap Summer Championship looming with double points.

How Much Is A Billion Dollars In Currency
U S Airmen earn high pay yet the column asks how big a billion dollars is. A billion one dollar bills would form a 15 foot wall along Pennsylvania Avenue from White House to Capitol. A billion in ten dollar bills would span New York to San Francisco over three times. Julius Caesar would have spent three quarters of a billion at a daily rate since 44 B C. A billion in hundred dollar bills would create three stacks taller than the Washington Monument. How much is a billion bucks is left unknown.
