Witham and Howard Clock Co completed installation, with maintenance shared until 1946 when electrification reduced upkeep. A truck loaded with wood shavings driven by Calvin Blades of Adams Feed Co swerved to avoid an automobile Monday morning and overturned between the Baugh and Orme Fertilizer Warehouses in West Denton. Trooper I C Myers says J T Ward Cooper backed from a driveway into the truck’s path, damaging the auto and leaving Cooper charged with failing to grant right of way and operating without a license. Blades suffered minor cuts and bruises.
