Mr and Mrs Sam Beattie leaders of Green Leaf 4 H Club Ridgely won top honors at the York County Show entering the Quality Park Carcass They showed the Champion Carcass with weight 195 lb 168 days age back fat 1 3 length 30 4 and loin eye 5 6 hamloin 41 9 percent There were 32 entries in this class A total of 110 entries of all breeds were shown at the York County Pennsylvania Quality Pork Show.

Ridgely School Wins Savings Bond Program Citation
During the 1964-65 Ridgely Elementary School team adopted Savings Stamp Day Plan for grades 1 through 5. The program taught money wisdom, planned spending and saving, patriotic saving for the future, and ownership responsibility. The school earned a Treasury Citation from Maryland State Director Ormond R. Galvin for more than 75 percent participation. Students Bonnie Jarrell and Jonathan are noted for bond purchases.

County Granted Youth Corps Funds to Maryland

Denton in Caroline County plans 124 youths with 39 000 total cost 931 900 federal funds. Oakland in Garrett County 120 in school youths 24 4 521 800 federal funds.
