Farm Workers and Social Security Benefits Guide
Caroline County farmers must deduct 1 4 percent of total wages for social security from every eligible worker and employers must match 1 1 4 percent to the IRS by quarter end. Beginning 1951 farm workers may join the program if they meet 60 days work and $50 earnings per qualifying three month period.
