Local Society Notes and City Election Ticket Highlights
A society item describes Mrs H H Hudson hosting a luncheon and euchre party on Tuesday Oct 24. A box social at Colwell schoolhouse benefited Zion's Lutheran church proves a success. The Defiance city township convention endorses a Republican ticket led by John Crowe for mayor and K V Haymaker for council president, with Marple McCann as township trustee and other unanimous nominations. Reports cover social visits, a fatal scaffold fall at National Carbon in Findlay, birthday party, bridal and church society activities, and a details-filled roster of local officials and committees.
