Cornelius Schriner, about 40, drowned when the buggy was swept from the embankment at Mud Creek crossing near the Children's Home. His wife clung to a bush as rescuers fought the swift current. Schriner’s body recovered Saturday. The widow, mother to eight children, faces a tragic loss.
