Judge Resigns After 30 Years on Suffolk Probate Court
Judge John W. McKim of Suffolk County Massachusetts resigns from the probate bench after 30 years of service. Governor Guild has received the retirement notice. Train piping injury at Bremen injures brakeman
While train No 8 of the Baltimore and Ohio was taking water at Bremen Indiana a long piping piece fell from the tank striking D C Hennessy an extra brakeman. He felt pain but rode the train to town and later saw Dr Ury who diagnosed bruised toes and badly mashed nails. The shoe cap likely saved the toes.

Jury unable to agree in bank stock suit in U S circuit court
The jury, after two days out and twice instructed by Judge Taylor, failed to reach a verdict in the suit of the People's Bank against the Defiance City Bank over title to stock shares. It was the only jury trial this session and the court adjourned Friday afternoon. A special session starts September 3 to finish remaining business.
