Boy Drowns In Maumee River Near Antwerp

Special to Express. Harry Roberts aged 16 drowns in the Maumee river 24% miles west of Antwerp after both he and his father who cannot swim venture into the water. The father rescues twice but both are swept under. Body recovered at 5 p.m. after a noon drowning.

Basket Meeting at Kiser Union Sunday School

The Kiser Union Sunday School will host a basket meeting in the grove of the schoolhouse on Sunday July 28 1901 with preaching at 1030 by Rev Metzner of Defiance. A basket meal will follow the meal portion then at 130 Sunday school will hold Children Day exercises assisted by the Evangelical school of Defiance.
