Terrible accident at Ayersville claims Isreal S Scott
Isreal S Scott a 71 year old Ayersville sawmill owner was fatally injured Thursday afternoon when he was drawn into a large circular saw while assisting the off bearer. The mill crew and neighbors rushed to the scene as blood and debris filled the mill. Scott died instantly. He leaves a wife and three children. Funeral was held Sunday in Ayersville and burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.

Five Injured After Runaway Horse Collision Near Ayersville
Five people, including Miss M Dell Adams, Anna Phillips, and Miss Carrie Wellman, were injured when a gentle horse ran away and collided with a Harris buggy near Harris corner. Miss Phillips bore the worst injuries, with the horse pinning her beneath it before bystanders freed her.
