Veterans planning mid term GI Bill enrollment should visit the nearest Veterans Administration office for forms and eligibility guidance. P. J. Mims, VA Houston director, notes that a married veteran with one child may receive about 230 dollars monthly for full time study, with 36 months maximum if 18 months active duty were served.
Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of Deer Park Texas will be received by the City Secretary at City Hall until 5 00 P M on Tuesday August 24 1971 for furnishing all labor material machinery equipment tools and supervision for the construction of approximately 3150 feet of 12 water mains and about 2300 feet of 10 sewer lines on T Street from Center Street east to Luella Avenue in Deer Park Harris County Texas Bid opening and public reading will occur during the City Council meeting at 7 30 P M on Tuesday August 24 1971 Proposal forms plans and specifications may be obtained from Bayshore Engineers Inc 104 West Seventh Street Deer Park Harris County Texas upon deposit of 25 00
The notice states that bids must include a cashier's or certified check or bid bond equal to ten percent of the greatest bid and payable to the City of Deer Park. The city may reject bids or waive technicalities. The winning bidder must furnish 100 percent performance and payment bonds.
