Census of Schools Begins in Morgan County
The county starts its school census July 1 with 60 enumerators meeting at 10 a m Tuesday at Morgan County High School in Hartselle for instructions and supplies. George T Woodruff says the two week process will list all residents ages six to twenty one, with 1934 totals showing 10 968 school age people split 9 561 white and 1 407 colored.

Falkville completes WPA jail and city hall project
The two story brick hall and city hall in Falkville, a WPA project, cost about 3300 dollars. It was begun in January and employed 10 workmen. The building includes a 30 by 35 foot courtroom on the second floor, a library and offices, with cells and a bull pen for prisoners on the first floor. The two cells are located in the center of the pen and seats in the courtroom are not yet installed.

Tract Bought by Morgan Board for Convict Camp
The Morgan county board of revenue bought a 20 acre tract near Somerville on the Hartselle Valdosta road to house a state convict camp for road work.
