DIES AT HOME IN LOUISVILLE
Charles W. Mathews, once a motor mechanic at the Louisville and Nashville shops at Decatur, died this morning about nine at his Louisville home. He had long suffered heart trouble and returned home after feeling unwell on his way to work. While in Decatur he held many public posts in civic and church life. funeral arrangements are not known.

Nashville Ga January 23 1947 Sheriff N N Hughes said two Nashville high school students were arrested in connection with an $18 000 safe burglary. About $10 309 of the loot was recovered. A third youth is being sought by police. The sheriffs office said those involved were under 18 with one 16 and the other 17. Federal agents were notified because the third youth had left state with his share. The home of two prominent locals was untouched.
