Missionary Describes Torture Under Red China
American missionary Dr. Homer V. Bradshaw and his wife, released after five years imprisoned in China, described torture and privation at the hands of Chinese Reds. Bradshaw, 54, spoke from a wheelchair about handcuffing, forced strenuous exercise, and dire diet while recounting his 27 years in China and WWII service with the US 14th Air Force under Maj. Gen. Claire Chennault. The couple, staying at Clark Air Base, were expected to remain at the base hospital for about two weeks before flying home.
