Wreckage of two Air Force B26 bombers collided near Greenville Alabama claims three bodies with First Lt Donal L Glover listed missing. Capt Raymond Fagan Capt Robert W White and Capt John F Kirby identified among the dead. A fourth flier believed trapped in the burning wreckage while search teams extended the recovery near the ravine as crews from Scott AFB and Eglin AFB worked through dense woods. The flight originated from Scott AFB to Tyndall AFB.
TVA experts traced the 35 minute Decatur power outage to a faulty regulator affecting three counties. Parts came from Wilson Dam and service was restored by 3 a.m. Sunday at the Goodyear Mills substation. Quince Eddens, Decatur electric manager, said no major low voltage issues remained.
