Power Failure Strikes Decatur Area Industries
A major interruption shut down Decatur and surrounding area for 35 minutes when a large regulator failed at the TVA sub station near Goodyear Decatur Mills. The outage affected 44 000 volt lines feeding Decatur Morgan County Joe Wheeler Co op Moulton Limestone County and rural lines. Athens and Hartselle escaped.
