Sheriff Jimmie Collier reports three arrests yesterday for vagrancy and public drunkenness. Four cases were on docket for police recorder's court this morning including reverse parking driving without license intoxicated on a public street and allowing dogs to run at large. Pleasant Hill Home Demonstration Club meets Thursday at 9 am in the school auditorium with Miss Lucille Hawkins presenting a demonstration on Canning And Freezing Apples. See Diary on Page 2.

City Construction Climbs Toward 3 Million Mark

Warrior Power Project Pushed By Alabama Cooperative
The Warrior River Electric Cooperatives Assn of Oneonta Alabama asked the Power Commission for a preliminary permit to develop hydroelectric power on the Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River. The plan includes an earth and rock-fill dam about 178 feet high and a powerhouse with two 20 000 kilowatt generators in Walker Cullman and Bib counties. A preliminary permit would grant priority while studies prepare a full application. The group noted other sites on the stream may be considered.
