New site tapped for county fairgrounds move
Eau Claire County Board studies shifting the junior fairground to 35 acres in Lowes Creek along Hwy 93, south of Eau Claire, citing limited expansion on the current Altoona site. The ad hoc committee estimates $600,000 to $750,000 value, while a supervisor cites potential lower bids and zoning concerns. Committees will draft a relocation resolution.
